Preah Khan temple​ was constructed in 1191. It contained 60 tons of gold ($3.3bn), says BBC report on 23 September. This secret was revealed by the new technology scanner called Lidar.

Lidar is a new laser scanner mounted on a helicopter. Lidar uses millions of laser beams on the ground surface and found many unidentified temples around Angkor city and the infrastructure of the city.
